CHIROPRACTIC
Chiropractic is a leading allied health care discipline based on the scientific premise that the body is a self-healing, self-regulating organism. These important functions of everyday living are controlled by the brain, the spinal cord and your nervous system. The practice of Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between your musculoskeletal and nervous systems, and how they affect the preservation and restoration of health.
Your nervous system controls and coordinates every cell, tissue and organ in your body. Your spine protects your nervous system and allows movement and flexibility. When your spine loses normal motion or position, it can affect the way your nerves work, interfering with the activities of daily life and in turn, lead to poor health.
At Bacchus Natural Health, we use a wide variety of chiropractic techniques including:
- Manual adjusting
- Non-rotary velocity techniques (drop piece)
- Low force techniques such as biomechanical blocks and activator
- Soft tissue therapy and adjunctive therapies including kinesiotaping and dry needling.
This can be combined with advice on nutritional supplements, stretching or exercises.
We are fully registered with Medicare and the Private Health Funds. This allows treatment of a variety of patients.
This includes those under;
- Work Cover
- Transport Accident Commission (TAC)
- Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) and
- Department of Veterans Affairs (DVA).
Co-referral with local health professionals is also a priority with all practitioners. This wider co-management of patients includes General Practitioners and Medical Specialists, Maternal and Child Health Nurses, Physiotherapists and Podiatrists.
